Build your rental resume once, then apply to any listing with it in a couple of clicks. You can attach a short message to the landlord with each application — a few lines about who you are and why the place suits you does more than you might expect.

A listing marked pending is not taking applications: the landlord has accepted someone and is waiting on a lease. The page stays readable so you can still see what it was.

Your name, photo, phone number, employment details, rental history, references, when you want to move in, and whether there are pets or smoking. That is what a landlord sees when you apply.

You do not have to finish it in one sitting — it saves as you go, and the apply page tells you what is still missing before you send anything.

Yes. Favourite a listing to keep it in saved, or save a search to be told when new places match it. Saved searches are also how you hear about open houses in the areas you are looking at.

Yes. Form a tenant group, share listings into it, and apply together. Everyone in the group has to agree to a particular application before it goes anywhere.

The landlord receives one application from the group, with the list of who applied and each person’s rental resume behind a click. Your resume stays yours: the rest of the group can see that you have agreed to apply, not what is in it.

Every listing that is taking applications has a message the landlord button — you do not have to apply first, so you can ask whether it allows cats before filling anything in.

Applying opens a thread of its own, which is the one the landlord sees beside your application when they read it. Everything lives in messages.

Your rental resume goes to a landlord when you apply to their listing, and to nobody else. Browsing, favouriting and saving searches are private — a landlord cannot see that you looked.

The roommate profile is a separate thing you fill in separately, and landlords never see it. The full detail is in the privacy policy.

Sign up, confirm your email, and use list a place to add photos, the structured details — bedrooms, price, property type and so on — and a description. You can save it as a draft and come back to it before publishing.

Listings go live when you publish them. One that looks like it breaches the content policy can be held for a person to look at, and you are told what was held and why — nothing is decided about your listing without telling you.

Your dashboardlists applications per listing, each with the applicant’s full rental resume. You can shortlist, decline, or open a message thread from the same screen. When you accept one, mark the listing pending — it leaves search but stays readable for anyone holding the link.

Yes, from the listing. People who have applied, and tenants whose saved searches match the area, are told automatically — you do not have to advertise it yourself.

You can cap each time slot. Anyone past the cap joins a waitlist that promotes automatically when somebody drops out.

No. Posting, taking applications and messaging tenants are free, and there is no cap on how many listings you post.

Paid options are on the roadmap — featured placement, and something for people managing several properties. Nothing that works today will move behind a paywall, and this page will say so well before anything changes.

Landlord verification is not switched on yet. When it is, it will be a short identity check run by a third party — your ID goes to them and never through rentvic — and verified landlords will carry a badge on their listings.

Nothing is gated on it in the meantime — you can post listings and take applications exactly as you would with a badge.

Your email address. You will get a link when you sign up, and clicking it is the whole process.

The phone number on a rental resume is one you type in yourself. It is not checked, and it is worth remembering that when you read one.

Yes, on one account. List a place and apply to another without signing up twice.

There is no mode to switch between, deliberately — your menu holds both sides at once, so nothing asks you to pick a side before showing you your own things. The bar changes colour on the landlord dashboard so you can tell at a glance which half you are looking at.

Use the report button on the listing, the profile or the message. It tells us exactly what you are reporting, which a contact form cannot, and every report is read by a person.

If something needs more than that — a scam, a deposit demanded before a viewing, somebody behaving badly after you met through rentvic — use the contact form and pick trust & safety.

Report something serious

Yourself, from account settings. It takes your account, profile, rental resume, saved searches, saved listings and group memberships with it, and it cannot be undone. If you have live listings, they come down immediately — the page tells you how many before you confirm.

Two things stay, because they are not ours alone to delete: a message you sent stays with the person you sent it to, and an application you submitted stays with the landlord who received it.
